When Orlando’s Spectrum News 13 team wanted an expert’s opinion on the special counsel’s investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, they turned to Orlando defense attorney, Dan Eckhart.
Eckhart has firsthand knowledge of federal investigations and the federal justice system, having worked for more than twenty years for the Department of Justice as a Special Agent and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (federal prosecutor) in the Middle District of Florida.
He told the 13 News team he was not surprised by the findings summarized by Attorney General William Barr. He explained that he is “confident with the findings,” given the fact that “some of the best prosecutors that are assembled in one place” and numerous FBI agents worked on the case.
